What is PET bottles?
Converting PET bottles to acoustic felt is a sustainable practice to reduce waste and produce sound-absorbing materials. PET bottles can be recycled and turned into fibers used to make acoustic felt.
What is the High-Tack kit for?
For an easy and correct installation, use the High-Tack kit from Wallpanelen. This ensures that the akupanel is properly attached to your room. It is recommended to use 1 kit tube of 290ML per 2 akupanels!
Are hazardous substances used in your products?
Wallpanelen rejects the use of hazardous and environmentally harmful substances during all production processes. Regular checks and inspections are carried out to ensure your and our safety.
Do your products contain real wood veneer?
Yes, all our aku panels are made from MDF slats with a real wood veneer layer on top, sourced from real tree trunks.
Material
What is the base layer Acoustic Pet Felt?
PET felt is a durable and versatile material with excellent acoustic properties. Made from recycled PET bottles, this soft yet robust felt is perfect for wall and ceiling installations. It absorbs sound waves and reduces reverberation in rooms.
What is the intermediate layer of the MDF?
The intermediate layer has a thickness of 12 mm and is made from recycled black MDF, which contributes to sustainability.
What is the top layer of the Akupanel?
The top layer is made of real wood veneer, with a thickness of 0.45 mm, which provides a warm appearance, deeper colors and tangible wood structure. Be alert, because some providers use melamine top layers for Aku panels, which is not the same.
